| Description: | We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead our existing team in Minnesota. This position will work closely with the Operations Director to develop strategies and process oriented approaches to maintain and improve herd health, which will ultimately impact productivity, performance, and quality. Participate as an active member of the Christensen Farms veterinary resource team. Respond to critical health challenges as they arise. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to utilize their skills and expertise in all phases of swine production. The ability to work in a team orientated culture with a high level of expectation around communication and effective implementation is critical to success in this position. |
| Duties: | �Effectively implement health management programs including training and follow through
�Provide diagnostic analysis
�Provide leadership in the innovation of health and production practices and programs including training and follow through
�Create effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
�Contribute and be accountable for to the improvement of production system results
|
| Qualifications: | Position requires a DVM and 5+ years in swine veterinary practice. Other qualifications include:
�Good understanding of diseases and laboratory analyses
�Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
�Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
�Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
�Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
�Proven ability to use initiative and think independently
�Demonstrated commitment to the swine industry and well-being of livestock
�Ability and willingness to travel
